Hailing from Ōtautahi, Rosalind Lay-Yazdani is a graduate of Toi Whakaari with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts. In 2023, she made her Court Theatre debut in Dance Nation and appeared in Gate Crash, part of the NZIFF’s prestigious Best Short Film Collection. Rosalind is passionate about exploring her Iranian heritage, delving into themes of cultural dispersion, disconnection, and the complexities of living in diaspora.
